The Raiders began their draft pick signings last week by reaching a deal with first-round selection Khalil Mack.

Now, the club has started to get other members of its eight-pick draft class under contract.

Via its Twitter feed, the team announced deals with seventh-round selections T.J. Carrie, Jonathan Dowling and Shelby Harris on Tuesday.

A cornerback from Ohio, the 6-foot, 204-pound Carrie intercepted nine passes in his collegiate career. An accomplished punt returner, Carrie’s best shot to stick could be as a reserve on defense and as a special teams contributor.

Harris (6-2, 288) is a defensive end who played for Illinois State and Wisconsin. He was dismissed from Illinois State’s team in 2013. He recorded 14 total sacks in three total seasons with the Redbirds (2010-2012).

A safety who finished his collegiate career with Western Kentucky, Dowling (6-3, 190) intercepted nine passes in two seasons with the Hilltoppers. He began his career at Florida but was reportedly dismissed from the club.

Quarterback Derek Carr (Round Two), guard Gabe Jackson (Round Three), defensive tackle Justin Ellis (Round Four) and cornerback Keith McGill (Round Four) are the other members of the Raiders’ 2014 draft class.
