The defending NFL champions will visit the White House on Wednesday.  The team’s fans, also known as the 12th Man, are invited to come along.

Sort of.

The organization has announced that the ceremony will stream at Seahawks.com.  An exact time hasn’t been announced, but the ceremony is expected to begin in the afternoon, Eastern time.

The visit also can be followedon Twitter (@Seahawks), Instagram (@Seahawks), Facebook (Facebook.com/Seahawks), or Snapchat, by adding the user name “Seahawks” to the friends list.

President Obama will need some new material, given that he already has remarked publicly on the Richard Sherman/Michael Crabtree situation.

  1. Here are some thoughts:
Have him comment on how a police officer has been denied his freedom of speech.
How a man off from work, on his own time, can’t express how he feels about him without losing his job.
How only a select few can use a certain word and others will be fired.
How the court of public opinion has trumped the judicial court.
Being a bigot is not a crime, it just means you’re a jerk. Even jerks have rights, one being the right to express themselves within the law.

  2. Great to hear, this gives Viking fans a chance to watch too. You can look but ya can’t touch.

And I thought this was a site about football, but I’ll bite…

No one was denied freedom of speech. It’s always morons talking about denial of freedom of speech when an ass puts his foot in his mouth and gets in trouble for it. He spoke freely and people, rightly, reacted to what he said with condemnation.

He was a public law enforcement official, he’s never off the job and the expression he chose to use, showed how he really felt about certain people. You don’t think he just reserved the N-word for the President do you? Now who’s being naive, Kay? You and your ilk may call it PC Police or some other moronic euphamism because it doesn’t register as an offence to you, but people are not taking slights like this lying down anymore and the world is a better place for it.

Oooh, the old…”bbbut why can they say it and we can’t” defense. LOL In this case especially, using a word like that taints everything about him and his office. You’re a public official, if you think of The President that way, what do you think of the people of color in your community? That’s the perception that he caused with his own ignorance.

That guy did it to himself and then defiantly defended his use of the slur. Your agnst is at best, misguided and at worse, delusional.

Now back to football talk. Congrats on the visit Seahawk!!
