Giants claim receiver Corey Washington off waivers

The New York Giants made an addition to their receiving corps on Thursday when they claimed wide out Corey Washington off waivers from the Arizona Cardinals.

Washington, a 6-foot-4, 214-pound receiver from Division II Newberry College, initially signed with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent on May 12.

Washington caught 44 passes for 839 yards and 13 touchdowns last season for Newberry.

To make room on the roster, the Giants waived offensive lineman Stephen Goodin.

Big body red zone threats are always good with a lack of TEs. Not a bad pick up.
