The Ravens are bringing in a rookie running back from one of college football’s storied programs.
Fitzgerald Toussaint, who rushed for 2,288 yards and 27 touchdowns in four seasons with the University of Michigan, has signed with Baltimore, the club announced on its website Thursday.
According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, the 5-foot-10, 200-pound Toussaint tried out for Baltimore at its rookie minicamp.
The addition of the 24-year-old Toussaint gives the Ravens seven running backs on their roster.
With Toussaint arriving, the Ravens waived-injured linebacker Ryan Jones, an undrafted free agent from Montana Tech, according to the NFL’s Thursday transactions.
