The Redskins have finished their journey through the relatively painless process of signing draft picks.
The team announced Thursday morning that tackle Morgan Moses has agreed to a four-year contract with the team. The third-round pick is the last of the team’s eight picks to agree to a deal, knocking one item off the team’s offseason to-do list three weeks after the first round took place.
Moses started at left tackle at Virginia in 2013, but played on the right side of the line earlier in his career and Trent Williams’ presence in Washington means he’ll be looking for work on the right side in the NFL as well. His chief competition at right tackle will be incumbent Tyler Polumbus, who hasn’t impressed as a starter over the last two seasons.
“It’s been a while since I’ve been there. ... Just getting that feeling back,” Moses said, via CBS Washington. “One thing about me, I’m ambidextrous, so being able to adapt to both sides is something I’ve been able to do throughout my college career.”
If he can transition back to the right side quickly, a starting job could be in his future as a rookie.
