Broncos sign seventh-round pick Corey Nelson

The Broncos have begun signing draft picks.

The club announced a four-year deal with seventh-round selection Corey Nelson, an outside linebacker from Oklahoma, on Monday.

Nelson (6-0, 231) recorded 153 tackles (17.5 for loss) in 45 games (27 starts) for the Sooners from 2010 through 2013. He was limited to five games in his final collegiate season because of a torn pectoral muscle. Nelson seems likely to figure as a reserve and perhaps a special teams contributor if he makes the Broncos’ roster in 2014.

The Broncos have five unsigned draft picks, including cornerback Bradley Roby, their first-round selection.
