Saints waive Mike Golic Jr., Spencer Hadley

The Saints made a pair of roster moves Monday, waiving offensive guard Mike Golic Jr. and linebacker Spencer Hadley, according to the NFL’s transaction log.

Golic Jr. signed with the Saints in May after spending the 2013 preseason with the Steelers. A Notre Dame product, Golic Jr. is the son of ESPN’s Mike Golic, an eight-year NFL veteran.

A rookie from BYU, Hadley signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent in May. He recorded 149 tackles in 43 career games with the Cougars.

The Saints now have three open roster spots, according to the club’s roster. One spot is expected to be filled by veteran center Jonathan Goodwin.

I see either an analyst job I’m Golic’s future or his uncle may teach him how to act or not act #SavedByTheBell

There goes Mike Golic Sr’s much talked about plans to eat, drink and be merry on Bourbon Street. Terrible.
Have any of those Notre Dame players who were exposed by Alabama panned out?

Hopefully, “Goody” can still get the job done. We’re in trouble if he can’t bc we don’t have a capable center if, he doesn’t work out.
