The Vikings have made a change at cornerback, adding Julian Posey on waivers from Cleveland and waiving Kip Edwards, who spent part of the 2013 season on Minnesota’s practice squad.

The 25-year-old Posey recorded six tackles in five games with Cleveland in 2013. He started the season finale for the Browns, playing 52 snaps in a loss at Pittsburgh. The previous season, the 5-foot-11, 200-pound Posey appeared in two regular season games for the Dolphins.

Edwards (6-1, 200) also spent time with the Bills in 2013. He played collegiately at Missouri.

The Vikings have all 90 roster spots occupied.

  1. And then the entire Viking fan base lifted Posey upon their slender shoulders and paraded him around Winter Park.

They exalted him with cheers and extreme exhilaration, proclaiming him to be best thing since sliced bread and better than any NFL cornerback that had ever suited up before.

Then they all sat around their ivory tower and mocked the beleaguered Packer franchise after once again claiming the ever crucial offseason championship. Again!

  2. Julian Posey will be the final piece of the puzzle! We had the best FA of any team in the league, We had by far the best draft of any team in the NFL. Other teams are in awe of our legionary coaches Zimmerman and Turner. Let the gold and purple confetti fall early and often! Minnesotans will need a seventh thumb for all the Super Bowls we will win in the upcoming years. SKOL!

  3. Please no jokes about this is the missing piece to the Super Bowl. We have heard them all before. It will be great when Zimmer takes us there.

  4. In the picture… sure looks like Posey is the offensive
player? Steeler player is in a defensive posture, as a
    cornerback would be.

  5. Probably a picture from a punt. That experience will come in handy playing for Mini.

  6. Are there any MEN on the Vikings squad? Adrian, Erin, Christian, now Julian. What’s with all the confusion there in East Dakota?
