The Browns have parted ways with one of their 2013 draft picks, waiving safety Jamoris Slaughter on Monday, according to the NFL’s transaction report.

A sixth-round selection out of Notre Dame last April, Slaughter spent the 2013 regular season on the Browns’ practice squad. He appeared in one preseason game for Cleveland.

In other roster moves Monday, the Browns signed offensive lineman Alex Parsons and kicker/punter Jake Rogers, the club said.

The 26-year-old Parsons appeared in 16 games for the Raiders in 2012, starting one at center. Oakland waived him last August.

Rogers has had stints with five NFL teams since entering the NFL in 2011. He was most recently with Washington, which waived him in May.
