If you haven’t voted for the best two to wear No. 14, vote here.  If you haven’t voted for the best two to wear No. 58, that’s because we haven’t asked you to do so, yet.

We’re asking now.  Vote below.

And we’re asking you to tune in at 5:30 p.m. ET tonight for a 30-minute edition of the show.  We’re also asking you to keep it tuned to NBCSN for Game Three of the Stanley Cup Final.

Geez, there were some badass 58’s weren’t there??

I’m an unabashed Steelers fan, so Lambert got my vote, but DT and Marshall were absolute monsters themselves.

    RIP DT.

It’s a coin toss between Lambert & LT. You vote for somebody else you should be disqualified.

Derrick Thomas hands down ! Some of those other options
are legends in their own right but none impacted games and offensive game plans like derrick Thomas

I looked at the results and just voted for the one with the least amount of votes. I do that with all of these polls since they’re pointless anyway.

I hate the G-Hens, and LT more or less is a garbage human being. But strictly football wise, this shouldn’t even be up for debate. He changed the game, the entire league was designing offenses around him… Not even close

  8. kd75 says: Jun 9, 2014 4:47 PM

Carl Banks isn’t even included on the ballot?

  9. walkinginthewasteland says: Jun 9, 2014 4:51 PM

LT didnt wear 58. He was 56. clowns.

  10. crownofthehelmet says: Jun 9, 2014 4:54 PM

Jack Lambert is embarrassed to be mentioned with those other guys, except DT.

Lambert hands down. It’s between him and DT. Lambert was a 6 time first team All Pro. DT had 128 sacks, but Lambert had 28 picks. DT led in Fumbles recovered by a 19 to 1 margin. Put it this way, Lambert is the best MLB in the history of the NFL. I can’t say that about DT and the OLB spot. This is about the best #58 and I’ll take Lambert because he’s got that nasty about him. I know. I’m a Browns fan and I watched him whip our behinds for 11 years.

Don’t you mean 4 time champion Jack Lambert?

  16. allseeingone says: Jun 9, 2014 5:27 PM

He was the most intimidating player on the most intimidating defense in the history of the game. How can one not vote for Lambert?

  17. pfish927 says: Jun 9, 2014 5:29 PM

    Thomas Davis

  18. granadafan says: Jun 9, 2014 5:35 PM

Ex-Raiders fan here. I loathed Lambert back in the day when the Raiders played the Steelers. Still, much respect to this fearsome linebacker. My vote is for Lambert.

  19. fwippel says: Jun 9, 2014 5:38 PM

    No Wally Hilgenberg? Pull-lllease!

  20. bassplucker says: Jun 9, 2014 5:44 PM

There’s Lambert and then there’s everybody else. And that’s from a Bears fan who really doesn’t like the Steelers at all.

  21. bengalguy says: Jun 9, 2014 5:44 PM

    Derrick Thomas, hands down!

  22. citizenstrange says: Jun 9, 2014 5:52 PM

Lambert was like a God in Pittsburgh in the 70s.

  23. polo550 says: Jun 9, 2014 5:54 PM

Derrick Thomas all day. I’m not old enough to vote for Lambert. Although I respect his body of work, he played in an era where guys were small and slow. DT was a freak OLB. The closest that I’ve seen to LT. I guess it depends on the era of football that you grew up watching. But I’m hard pressed to believe that Lambert had that kind of athletic ability.

It’s a tie between Rey maualuga and Steve Tovar.

  25. ebbycalvinlaloosh says: Jun 9, 2014 6:32 PM

In ten years, the answer to this question will be Von Miller.

  26. infinitig says: Jun 9, 2014 6:45 PM

The two hall of famers should get it and that is who I voted for. Carl Banks and Wilbur Marshall were both excellent during their time.

  27. trollhammer20 says: Jun 9, 2014 6:46 PM

I remember watching every moment of the game where Derek Thomas had seven sacks to set the NFL record.

It was a miserable day for Dave Kreig…right up until he slipped away from sack #8 and delivered the game-winning TD pass with under 30 seconds left.

But still, seven sacks in one game…think about that one. It’s been a record for well over 20 years, and is likely going to last for quite some time more. It was an incredible performance by an incredible player.

  31. nosleeptilsb says: Jun 9, 2014 9:18 PM

Seahawk fan still pissed at being ripped off in our 1st SB by the officials who were obvious Steeler fans. But the answer is Lambert, and the question is why is it even a question?

  32. chiefdt58 says: Jun 9, 2014 9:43 PM

I may be biased, but the answer is DT and Lambert, in that order. No one else even belongs in the discussion.

  33. bux1022 says: Jun 9, 2014 10:06 PM

    1 Lambert
    2 Thomas
    3 Banks
    4 Marshall
    5 Isaiah Robertson
    6 Boulware

The top 2 were never in doubt, but seriously, Peter Bouleware over Jessie Tuggle?
