Greg Hardy is fine, will practice tomorrow

Panthers defensive end and franchise player Greg Hardy missed an OTA workout on Wednesday.  And since not a whole lot else was going on, it created a headline.

Coach Ron Rivera said that Hardy underwent “maintenance” on his legs.

“There’s no surgery, no major injury or anything,” Rivera said, via the Charlotte Observer. “He should be on the field tomorrow.”

A source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that, indeed, Hardy will be back Thursday, barring something unforeseen.Hardy will make $13.1 million in 2014.  The window for signing him to a long-term deal closes on July 15.

He’s due in court on June 27 in connection with a May arrest for assaulting a female and communicating threats.  Discipline from the league office is possible once the case is resolved in court.
