Bucs agree to terms with Charles Sims

Sims

The man who may be eating into the touches of Doug Martin officially is under contract.

The Buccaneers have announced that former West Virginia running back Charles Sims, a third-round pick in the 2013 draft, has agreed to terms.

Coach Lovie Smith recently confirmed that the workload of Martin, a first-round pick in 2012, will be reduced in an effort to keep him healthy. In addition to Sims, other options on the roster include Bobby Rainey and Mike James.

Sims gained 1,095 yards rushing last year in Morgantown, his only season with the Mountaineers. He previously spent four years at the University of Houston. And he can do a mean backflip.
