The Texans are going to have to wait a bit longer to see the remarkable physical gifts of top pick Jadeveon Clowney.
According to Tania Ganguli of ESPN.com, Clowney was struggling with a groin issue, and went to Philadelphia to get checked out, resulting in sports hernia surgery yesterday.
He’s expected to be ready for training camp.
Clowney had been participating in OTAs, and defensive coordinator Rome Crennel suggested this week that Clowney was going to have to earn his playing time.
Now he’s going to have to recover from a surgery before he can.
