Brandon Flowers among eight new additions to PFT’s All-Unemployed Team

After a busy couple of days in veteran free agency, it was time to add some fresh faces to PFT’s All-Unemployed Team.

Eight new players have been added to our roster of the NFL’s top unsigned players, most notably ex-Chiefs cornerback Brandon Flowers. It would not be a surprise if Flowers were just a short-term member of the squad; the 28-year-old corner probably has some good football left to be played, and he should be able to land another key role elsewhere.

In addition to Flowers, we’ve made changes at safety and defensive tackle after Mike Adams joined the Colts and Kevin Williams signed on with Seattle. We’ve also bolstered the depth at a few other positions. For example, we’ve added a third tight end, putting Dustin Keller on the squad. Now almost 10 months removed from suffering multiple knee injuries last August, Keller surely has a place in the NFL if he’s at or near full strength.

Joining Flowers and Keller as new All-Unemployed members are guard Mike Brisiel, wide receiver Austin Collie, outside linebacker Quentin Groves, safety Will Hill, defensive lineman Vaughn Martin and center Samson Satele.

As always, the All-Unemployed Team is subject to change. The question is, do we see a few more unsigned players land jobs as NFL teams wrap up their offseason workouts next week? It’s something to ponder after all of the activity of recent days.
