The Ravens are taking a look at veteran cornerbacks this week and they now have a pair of empty roster spots to fill if they see anything they like.

The team announced that wide receiver Aaron Mellette and linebacker Adrian Hamilton have been waived. Both players finished the 2013 season on injured reserve.

Mellette was a seventh-round pick last year and made the team out of training camp, but was placed on injured reserve after the first week of the regular season because of a knee injury. He had surgery and was able to take part in the final two weeks of OTAs, but the team opted to move in a different direction.

Hamilton, who had 22 sacks in his final year at Prairie View, spent the 2012 season on the Ravens’ practice squad but a wrist injury sent him to injured reserve before the start of the regular season.
