The Giants’ offseason practices have reached an end.

According to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News and other club beat writers, the Giants broke practice early on Thursday morning, forgoing any on-field drills on the last day to conduct such workouts.

The Giants report for training camp on Monday, July 21. They will open their preseason slate against the Bills in the Hall of Fame Game on Sunday, August 3.

Like NFC East rival New York, Washington did not conduct workouts on Thursday, thus ending its offseason practices.

  1. What the heck? The Giants and the Redskins both packing up early? I get that it’s been very hot out east this week, but don’t these teams have indoor practice facilities?

It’s not like either of those teams don’t need the work.

  2. It’s no big deal….. Doing another 4 hours of running will not be the difference between going to the Super Bowl or not. Please. Get a job

  3. It was a good effort for my Giants in 2014, but without Jon Beason, JPP, Eli, David Wilson, my man Justin Tuck and so many other stalwarts, there’s no shame in them throwing in the towel early. Better to put the 2014 season behind them and get ready for the 2015 draft.

  4. Smart move, further showing that Tom Coughlin has a great pulse on his team, and made this decision based on the leadership council that he appointed to be the voice of his players.

One thing is for sure, we know Coughlin isn’t soft, so if he called practice early, it was for good reason.
