Falcons to work out with Texans, Titans during training camp

Matt Ryan,Jurrell Casey ,Sam Baker AP

The Falcons will practice with a pair of preseason opponents this summer.

The club announced Friday it will host a practice with the Titans on Monday, August 4. Also, the Falcons will practice with the Texans in Houston on Wednesday, August 13 and Thursday, August 14, the club said.

The Falcons play the Texans in Houston on Saturday, August 16. Seven days later, the Falcons play the Titans in Atlanta.

The Falcons do not play Houston or Tennessee in the regular season. Furthermore, both clubs are not conference rivals of Atlanta. Both factors probably don’t hurt when holding joint practices.

After training camp, we can ask the Falcons which team they predict will be 3rd and which will be 4th in the AFC South.

Good for us Hard Knocks fans in Houston. Hopefully, Andre Johnson will get a cameo.

I would have thought that the Falcons would want more of a challenge, guess not…
