Ravens running back Lorenzo Taliaferro isn’t the only NFL player with a court date to look forward to in July.
The Denver Post reports that Broncos safety T.J. Ward is due back in court on July 22 after a hearing on charges of assault charge and disturbing the peace was continued on Monday. That’s before Ward, who was in court with his attorney, is due to report to Broncos training camp and the resolution of the misdemeanor charges isn’t likely to impact Ward’s availability later in the season.
Ward was arrested after an incident that allegedly saw him throw a glass mug at a bartender at PT’s All Nude bar in Denver on May 10. Ward was reportedly upset that the bartender asked him to leave the club with a bottle he brought in from outside or throw it away.
Ward is in his first season with the Broncos after signing in Denver as a free agent this offseason.
