Andre Gurode calls Dolphins, but gets voice mail

The Dolphins are still processing the news of Mike Pouncey’s injury, and sorting through the internal options.

But one of the veterans on the market is taking a proactive approach.

According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, former All-Pro center Andre Gurode has reached out to the Dolphins, though they must have been screening calls and never got back with him.

The 35-year-old Gurode was once one of the top centers in the game when he was with the Cowboys, but has only started nine games the past three seasons with the Ravens, Bears and Raiders.

The Dolphins seem to be doing due diligence on the list of available veterans, but haven’t made a move yet.

Funny, Ryan Tannehill calls a play at the line of scrimmage and that also goes nowhere

Nice. Proactive. Like that. Hope it works out for both Andre and the Dolphins. (either way).

I know the feeling, I’ve left multiple voicemails for Dolphins executives and the owner and no response in return. I think that was a big mistake.

No matter who calls, they gotta scre-e-e-n their phone calls. Gurode is walking in their spiderwebs.

Gurode’s agent should be making the phone call.

And just like that last place in the East is all sorted out.

Was Albert Haynesworth screening the calls?

Tony Pashos is still a good player, he should be signed.

Gurode played well in spot roles for the Ravens 2 years ago. He didnt start but played all across the center of the line due to injuries. Excellent utility man for the center of the line. Even at his age, the Phins could do worse.

“BeepBOOPBoop… The team you are trying to reach: the MI-AMI DOLPHINS are currently TERRIBLE. To dial a better team please hang up and try again.”

Anyone calling out Gurode is an idiot. You all would do the same thing to try and keep those NFL paychecks coming in .

Maybe Gurod should cut out the middleman and place a call straight to head honcho Dan Marino himself.

Dan Marino ….. you had ONE job!

I thought Gurode did well for the Raiders last year. He filled in admirably.

Andre, you’re 35. Isn’t it time to spend some time on the couch rather than watch your new QB overthrow receivers by ten yards, your star wide receiver pout and quit on routes and your new RB have another cheeseburger?
Sometimes the best move you make, Andre, is no move at all.

Same thing happens when you call the Dolphins Front Office: Nobody is home, leave a message.

Better get all the o line help available right now & get them tuned in Philbin, we start the season in our own division & your record in the AFC East is NOT so good!!!

Funny how all of the smack talkers are Pats fans. Your reign in the AFC East has ended, get over it. You’re obviously feeling threatened by your snarky little comments, it’s okay, you should be.

Totally Off Topic. Bad Boys on TV has been narrowed to the final 6. Vote here.

    Jack Bauer v Sonny Crockett

    James Bond v Clint Eastwood
