Falcons adding journeyman wideout Courtney Roby

Even if the Falcons have the best pair of wide receivers in the league, last year proved they still need depth, so they added some Friday.

According to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports, the Falcons are signing Courtney Roby.

Roby was last with the Saints, who cut him prior to the start of the regular season in 2013.

He’s never been more productive than he was when he was a rookie with the Titans in 2005, where he had 21 of his 25 career catches.

Translated, if he ends up doing anything for the Falcons this year, there has been a catastrophe.

Like last year.

  1. He’s got lots of Saints knowledge, and he’s a damn good gunner. He could very well make that team as WR5 and produce on specials for them.

  2. Shocker! The Failcons sign another former Saint. These bums are so desperate to beat the Saints. WHO DAT!!!

  3. The falcons are 3-13 against the saints over the past 8 years. There isn’t a rivalry anymore just two teams that don’t like each other.

Most of the hate is directed from the Falcons towards the Saints not the other way around. Can’t blame the Falcons no one likes having their teeth kicked in year after year. To the Saints it’s just a rivalry.

  5. 43-46 Overall Record. Seems a bit one-sided recently but things are about to change. Drew Brees won’t be there forever. I remember the days of when the Saints had Aaron Brooks. If Miami took Brees instead of thinking his shoulder wasn’t well enough the Saints would still be in the basement and you would still be mumbling Who Dat under your breath.

  6. You sAints fans obviously havent been fans long enough to know that the Falcons lead in wins for the rivalry series. You only have been following the team for 8 years. And for the record. The average age for a NFL quarterback is 28 and Drew Brees is 35. Good luck on rebuilding!!!!

  7. Have any of you ever finished reading a comment employing the word “Failcons”, “”Aints”, or “Canthers” and thought, “What an amazing display of logic and football knowledge?”
