Can the Raiders compete in the AFC West?

Raiders insider Scott Bair joins Mike Florio to talk about the expectations for the Oakland Raiders after a disappointing 4-12 season in 2013. Bair discusses the competition at QB between Matt Schaub and Derek Carr and the possibility of getting a new stadium in the near future.

    Of course they can! Now will they, that’s a different story.

    They certainly have the possibility of having the best backfield in the NFCW with both McFadden and MJD.

    They had a very good free agency and a very good draft.

    Do you mean compete for the Division title? No, no they can’t.

    Or did you mean just be competitive? Well, they will be more competitve than last year but probably end up 4-12 again.

    Faders = 2-14 this season. But they will still play and I am sure Mack will look good.

    We will compete just fine with SD and KC. Den might be a differant story. I would be extatic with 8-8 with the toughest Sch in the NFL this season.

    I don’t think DA is the one who will do it. Lose for one more year, get another realy good high draft pick, and let coach Gruden come back! We’re better, but not there yet.
