Bills bidders receive sale book with financial information

Those interested in buying the Bills will have a little holiday weekend reading.

According to John Kryk of the Toronto Sun, the trust in charge of selling the Bills has released the sale book to potential buyers.

The book is available online to the prospective owners via a secure website (they better hope it’s more secure than the Astros’ trade discussions), and includes key financial details such as revenues, assets, operational costs, prospects of future revenue and liabilities.

Parties receiving the information also signed a non-disclosure agreement, which would limit the flow of information (at least officially).

If the Raiders were for sale, they’d distribute a leaflet detailing their successes since 2000.

I had a peak at this but it was quickly apparent they were going to turn down my offer of a gallon of maple syrup, the money in my spare change jar (conservatively estimated at $47 Canadian), five years of back issues of Mad Magazine (from the 1970s – vintage) and their pick of any five XBox games from my son’s collection he left behind when he went off to college.

Maybe the NFLPA should make an offer so they can finally get a look at an NFL team’s books.
