Ndamukong Suh would enjoy sacking Peyton Manning

Ndamukong Suh AP

Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh can get after the quarterback like few interior linemen.

However, he’s never sacked future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning.

Suh would like to change that, he told the Oregonian‘s John Canzano in a feature published Friday.

“Peyton’s going to go down in the Hall of Fame as one of the best who ever played. I want to take him down,” Suh said when asked which quarterback he most wanted to sack, according to the Oregonian. “Plus, one of my best friends met Peyton at the Pro Bowl two years ago, shook his hand and wouldn’t wash his hand for two days. I want to take his hero down.”

Suh and Manning have twice been named to the Pro Bowl in the same season, but Suh sat out the game in 2010, and Manning didn’t play in 2013 on account of Denver making the Super Bowl. They have never met in the regular season.

The Lions and Broncos aren’t slated to meet in the preseason or regular season in 2014, which means the only way Manning and Suh could face off would be in Super Bowl 49 or if they were on opposite Pro Bowl squads. And of course, one matchup would be more compelling than the other.

It’s the one that doesn’t include the Pro Bowl draft.

since they are not scheduled to play them then they will never meet since there is no way the lions are getting anywhere close to the playoffs. I must admit it would be fun if they did meet to hear the excuse sue gives for cheap shoting manning.

“…and Ndamukong Suh sacks Peyton Manning for an 8 yard loss…oh wait…now he’s kicking him while he’s on the ground! Jeez folks you really didn’t see that coming from a guy like Suh.”

might be awhile, Peyton don’t play much in preseason and I don’t think Detroit is going to playoffs so that leaves just regular season games, maybe next year or year after. I bet when they do finally play Suh is no longer with Detroit or is serving a suspension!

Cheap shots? Uhm, news flash! The Lions are a very good team. There Coach sucked! With the right coaching staff in Detroit and I’m not sure this new staff is?? But they have some of the best players in Football on there team? Sooooooo why couldn’t they make the playoffs? As far a Suh being dirty? He’s one of the best interior D linemen I’ve prob ever seen? Though he just Bull rushes most times rather then make a move on an O linesmen? Also Sacking Manning is close to impossible!! Unlike Andrew Luck who holds on to the football way to long? Manning gets it out of his hands in like 00.01 second!!! Though, I’m sure Luck well be much improved on that this year? I’m not a fan of any of those three teams!! But as a football fan!! Suh, Manning, Luck are awesome!!! And also not being a fan of the three teams! All three should make playoffs this year? I would be surprised if not one off them didn’t make it in the playoffs, then did!!

Suh’s “stomp” incident was like three or four years ago. I don’t think he’s got an UC penalty since. Read what opposing players say about him, no trash talk just unrelenting attack. They all respect him. But idiot fans don’t.

  9. bucsorbust says: Jul 4, 2014 7:38 PM

Even if the Lions were to play the Broncos, I think the odds could be 5 to 1 Suh would be suspended for the game anyway.

Manning has a big target on his back everyone wants to take him down but im only looking forward to seeing Mack or Tuck bringing him down

  13. lionsnati0n says: Jul 4, 2014 7:56 PM

People said the same thing about LT when he played. Then years later after he retired they all talked about how great and dirty he was. When your a defensive tackle you have to be great and dirty its your job. Now that Suh’s becoming a veteran I hope he can learn how to hide the dirty better and not make it so obvious all the time.

If suh came within 25 feet of his royal highness, he’d be suspended for life.

Comments from people who don’t know what winning in the playoffs and SB mean. And the Chargers will win their division. Don’t worry. Those mean Bengals won’t be there.

  18. 34defense2014 says: Jul 4, 2014 10:54 PM

Well said lionsnati0n!! Of your D man is not playing dirty? Then he’s not trying!! Besides do you really think the NFL would let a Manning get hit? Breath on a Star QB and it’s 15 yards these days!!!

  19. nflhof says: Jul 5, 2014 1:34 AM

Seems like Suh wants to wear Bolts!

The only way the Chargers make the Super Bowl this year is by volunteering as a team to sell programs at the stadium.

I’ve have never seen a comment as poor as yours, I normally don’t call people out on their grammar but this is bad. What’s with all the ? and ! after sentences? Have you heard of periods? That was a question by the way, stay in school.

Perhaps he can mosey on to the west coast and take up residence in Oakland?

  28. watermelon1 says: Jul 5, 2014 4:20 PM

This is exactly why I hate divisions and conferences.

Half the league doesn’t even see the other half(minus a few teams) for 4 years.

Without conferences and divisions, every team would play eachother at minimum… Every 2 years.

You seed playoffs by record, and have the potential for any possible playoff or Super Bowl match up.

The only argument against this is… “It ruins rivalries.”

Sorry but the only rivalries that interest me are the ones made by two teams who consistently meet in the playoffs and end each other’s season.

Tired of seeing teams get free passes into playoffs just because half over a third of their games are against divisions that are horrible every single year.

I’m looking forward to manning stomping the raiders twice again this year just like he has ever since he became a bronco.. Denver, KC, and San Diego get 3 bye weeks each year because the Raiders are in the AFC west..

  30. jaydgrog says: Jul 7, 2014 2:58 PM

This is all assuming Suh isn’t suspended for life by the time he gets to play against Manning in a real football game.
