Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin needs a good season to hold onto his job, but PFT doesn’t think he’s going to get it.

We’re rolling out our preseason power rankings and the Dolphins are almost at the bottom of the ocean. A vote of the PFT staff saw the Dolphins come in at No. 31, just one spot above the Raiders.

The Dolphins came close to a playoff spot last season, but saw everything fall apart in the final two weeks as they scored seven points in a pair of losses. It was the end of a trying season that saw players lost to key injuries and an already struggling offensive line implode when tackle Jonathan Martin left the team amid accusations of harassment from his teammates.

The offseason was spent rebuilding the line, but that effort hit a major snag with center Mike Pouncey’s hip surgery knocking him out for at least the next few months. There are other questions about the offense, including ones about Ryan Tannehill’s ability to be the franchise quarterback in Miami. Our panel thought the answers would find the Dolphins seriously lacking, but we want to know if you agree. Check out the preview and let us know in the poll below.
