Ravens and 49ers will have open practice one day after preseason opener

The Ravens and 49ers will begin their preseason slates with a game at Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium on Thursday, August 7.

The next day, they will return to the stadium for a practice open and free to the public, the Ravens announced Tuesday.

The clubs are slated to hold four practices after their preseason game.

The prospect of the Ravens and Niners working out together for multiple days is intriguing on numerous levels. The clubs, of course, met in Super Bowl XLVII less than two years ago, with Baltimore emerging victorious. Moreover, the teams will be practicing after playing a preseason game, not leading into the contest.

Still a win for the fans…all of these for every team should be open to public, you know till the public screws it up with fights and whatnot.

When else are they going to have the time to collude on how to favorably trade each other expiring contracts? The 9ers play Thanksgiving so that’s out.

Good luck selling out that preseason game.

^^I don’t recall the Ravens having NOT sold out a pre-season game. the stadium fits 71,000 and they have 64,000 season ticket holders, so it’s not that hard.

Ravens have a great game day experience, if I wasn’t a die hard homer of a Bears fan, I would have been a Ravens fan after one game. Week before that I was at a Redskins game at FedEx, that was the absolute worst ever.

I would hope its free, making people endure pathetic QB play on both sides, 2 days in a row.

Will Jack let Jim beat John this time? It’s only a preseason game…
