Report: Antonio Brown leaving Roc Nation

Antonio Brown AP

One of the sport’s bright young stars is leaving the flashy upstart which looked so enticing, and is returning home.

No, not that guy.

According to Mike Garafolo and Ross Jones of FOX Sports, Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is leaving Jay Z’s Roc Nation and is going back to his old agent Drew Rosenhaus.

Agent moves aren’t going to create nationwide paranoia like that other guy, but it is interesting to note the tide shifting away a bit from a group that seemed to have momentum not that long ago.

Maybe that shiny new car isn’t as nice as it appeared in their Ad?

Actually, “that guy” is returning home.

When you join Roc Nation you get to take a picture with Jay-Z. It’s not like they know what they’re doing.

I wouldn’t even sign with an agency that calls themselves “Roc Nation”.

    Hip Hop crap….

Drew’s happy. AB is easily the best WR he’s ever represented.

You guys realize that they lost Antonio Brown right? And now the agency is just crumbling?

Haha…ok. Rosenhaus loses and gains clients at an amazing clip. So will Roc Nation once completely established. 1 player leaving is hardly an indication of failure, more an indication that the agent game will always be the same.

He only signed because Jay Z promised to hook him up with BeyoncĂ©’s sister. He asked her about it in an elevator…you know the rest.

    they aren’t agents.
    They are music moguls.

Try to battle with an NFL agent, ships are sinking.

Not rocket science. Want to be represented by a professional agent or a rapper. You decide.

I don’t give a cheese doodle if you don’t care for Jay-Z or rap music, I’m no particular fan of it myself. That being said, you cannot possibly be a fan of Drew Rosenhaus, a notorious scumbag. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it’s most likely a bigoted duck.

@Hummer53, I’m not a fan of Jay-Z but he’s not representing any of the talents, he has individuals that do that. He’s just the namesake to recruit stars.

With that said, I would not have left Drew Rosenhaus, he’s the best at what he does.

    I’ve heard Drew Rosenhaus’s name…..

    What is a ROC nation?

Uh, Oh, he better watch his back!

  19. ybizzel says: Jul 11, 2014 5:10 PM

He’s not a star. Way too small time to be with Jay Z. He doesn’t fit. This may be best for him. At least I hope it is.

If you can’t handle an angry woman in an elevator how are you going to handle an angry GM in a contract dispute. Point goes to Rosenhaus.

Antonio really has a good head on his shoulders. Don’t think a lot of people outside of Pittsburgh (or non-Steelers fans) know what this kid is about. He’s not your typical primadonna WR, rather he’s a straight-laced, hard working guy and he probably realized that it was a better business decision to go with the proven commodity as opposed to the flashy upstart.

The title of this could’ve been “Antonio Brown now realizes what all of us simpletons already knew.”
