The Patriots waived undrafted rookie wide receivers Jeremy Johnson and Reese Wiggins on Thursday, the club said.
The transactions leave the Pats with three open roster spots.
Johnson and Wiggins signed with New England on May 27. Johnson (6-0, 180) played collegiately at Southern Methodist, while Wiggins (5-11, 185) is an East Carolina product.
The Patriots currently have nine receivers on the roster. The club’s rookies report for training camp on Sunday, with veterans slated to report on Wednesday.
