The Lions made a change at wide receiver Friday, waiving veteran Naaman Roosevelt and claiming rookie Reese Wiggins on waivers from New England.

The roster moves were disclosed in the NFL’s Friday transactions.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Wiggins signed with New England on May 27 after going undrafted. Wiggins, 23, caught 80 passes for 1,012 yards and eight touchdowns at East Carolina (2010-2013).

The 26-year-old Roosevelt caught 25 passes for 396 yards and one TD in two seasons with the Bills (2010-2011). The Lions signed him in April.

Detroit has 12 wide receivers on the roster. Lions rookies report to training camp on July 22. Veterans are to report July 27.
