Twenty-eight down, four to go.

The top four teams in PFT’s NFL preseason power rankings will be unveiled over the next two days. The fourth-ranked team will be announced Monday morning, while the third-rated club will take its spot on the medal stand on Monday afternoon.

The top two clubs will be announced Tuesday, with the runner-up in the morning and our No. 1-ranked club in the afternoon.

Before we get to the Fab Four, be sure to check out how we’ve ranked teams Nos. 5 through 32. All told, 14 AFC and 14 NFC clubs have been unveiled in our power rankings, which were determined by a vote of the PFT staff.

Let me guess, Pats 4, Seahawks 1, and who cares about 2 and 3 let’s call it a tie since lame ties are part of football so they should be part of the rankings too just so people can say oh that’s stupid to have two teams end in a tie!

As a 9ers fan…. Who’s got it better than us? I’m guessing 2 teams as far as this list goes.

We all know the Minnesota Vikings will be ranked #1. At least, that’s what I’ve been reading in the comments on here. Every. Single. Day.

    Wait…they were already listed?

    It’s fairly obvious:
    1. Seahawks
    2. 49ers
    3. broncos
    4. patriots

You may be able to justify flipping 2/3 but Pats are definitely no better than 4 and Hawks definitely 1.

These rankings are useful if for no other reason than to have a good laugh during the season at the expense of the self-proclaimed ‘experts’.

In what universe are there two AFC teams among the top 4? This PC equality stuff is getting ridiculous!

I can see Denver in the 4 hole, after SF, NO and Seattle…. but, no way in H, are the Pats a top 8 team in the NFL

  13. politicallyincorrect says: Jul 21, 2014 7:45 AM

    SF
    NO
    Seattle
    Denver
    GB
    Arizona
    StLouis
    Redskins
    Ravens
Pats or Cincy or Indy or…….

  14. Ben Jackson says: Jul 21, 2014 8:35 AM

    I’m guessing:

    4. 49ers
    3. Patriots
    2. Broncos
    1. Seahawks

The top 3 are probably largely interchangeable.

  15. the8man says: Jul 21, 2014 8:36 AM

My guess, from 4 to 1:

    New England
    San Francisco
    Denver
    Seattle

It’s tough to bet against Peyton Manning and the entire Seahawks team.

    1. Niners
    2. Niners Practice Squad

Every season about a third of the teams do better than expected, a third do worse than expected and about a third do as expected. Pre season rankings are fun but that’s it.

The pats are the most overated team every year. And brady can throw a slant thats about it.
