Chiefs place Joe McKnight on PUP list

A year off was not enough time for running back Joe McKnight to get well.

According to Randy Covitz of the Kansas City Star, the Chiefs put McKnight on the physically unable to perform list Monday. They also placed cornerback David Van Dyke (hamstring) on PUP.

McKnight, who sat out last season after being cut by the Jets, was going to have a chance to compete for a kick return job with the Chiefs.

But he needed arthroscopic knee surgery after the offseason program, and isn’t ready to practice yet.

This guy is trending towards the Titus Young school of behavior, not good by any stretch.

Chiefs will be placing the rest of the league on the PUP list after they play.

This guy was a bum with the Jets. Remember him puking on the sidelines. Always hurt. Had to be carried off the practice field. Takes a year off (thank god Jets cut him), same result… BUM!

Doubt if either will make the 53 but they could probably start in Oakland. I know McKnight could, the Raiders love oft injured RBs.

Good thing he has all of the college money from the USC booster club to live off of.
