Atkins, Jones still not ready to practice for Bengals

The good news for the Bengals is that a bunch of players have been elevated to the active roster from the Physically Unable to Perform or Non-Football Injury lists.

The bad news is that none of the seven are named Geno Atkins or Marvin Jones.

Added to the active roster were defensive tackle Christo Bilukidi, guard Clint Boling, cornerback Leon Hall, punter Kevin Huber, receiver Colin Lockett, cornerback Onterio McCalebb, and guard Mike Pollak.

Atkins remains on the PUP list after tearing an ACL during the 2013 season. Jones was placed on NFI after tweaking an ankle while working out away from the facility with quarterback Andy Dalton.

The bengals will forever be a 0 and done franchise as long as they have dalton as I said in a previous article. Most ovverated team going into this season

I would kill to have Geno Atkins on the Eagles.

He is a nasty player. Ashame he is wasting his career there.

atleast they can make it to the playoffs better than being in the blackhole where there never is a chance

‘Atkins is a nasty player but he’s wasting his career (with the Bengals)’..Really? 4th Round pick becomes All-Pro; gets huge contract; has one of the best sack ratios in history for a DT…I guess I’m not seeing where he’s been wasting anything. I like the Eagles well enough, but why exactly is that an upgrade for a guy who’s been hugely successful?

They’ll both be back within a week. We have one of the top teams in the NFL. I’m not worried about what people say about Andy. He’ll be just fine. Not every QB wins in their first three years and he’s already set the franchise TD and passing record along with most consecutive post season appearances.

Atkins can afford to miss a few practices. Jones can’t.

Is “tweaking an ankle” the medical professional’s explanation? If so, my Bengals need a new medical staff.

And besides, with a roster loaded with more talent than any other team, I think the Bengals will be okay letting their players rehab.

Lol I love how people outside of Cincy get do wrapped up in Marvin’s pup list. If your not 100% he puts you there. And Geno is just being watched for a couple of days by marvin.

No big deal, Bengals, as long as we make it past this tough schedule, will finally get past the first round. Whodey

They’re both going to be ready by the start of preseason. It’s a lot better to be cautious with a franchise player like Geno and a up and coming receiver like Jones.
