Bengals CB Chris Lewis-Harris suspended two games

The NFL has suspended Bengals cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris for the first two games of the 2014 regular season under the league’s substance-abuse policy, the team said Wednesday.

The 25-year-old Lewis-Harris appeared in six games for Cincinnati in 2013, recording three tackles. He’s vying for a reserve role with Cincinnati, which is deep at cornerback.

Lewis-Harris can play in exhibition games, but the earliest he can return to an active NFL roster is Monday, September 15.

A Tennessee-Chattanooga product, Lewis-Harris is one of 10 cornerbacks on Cincinnati’s roster.

How stupid. This may cost him a roster spot and his job. Since they know ahead of time about the testing, then why don’t these young kids just stay clean before the testing period? Sheesh.

While he’s an idiot for not being able to show some restraint and follow their silly substance abuse policy, how pathetic is this league where a guy can (I’m guessing) smoke a joint and get 2 games while another can knock out his woman and drag her along the floor in public and get the same amount of time.

When in a 5 man scrum for the 6th CB spot always good to put your best foot forward. Brilliant.

Haha he is playing for the last corner spot. The spot held previously by chargers priority signing brandon ghee.

Dude isn’t even active most weeks

Why did the Eagles Lane Johnson get 4 games for a prescription PED (Prednisone to fight infections) and this guy gets 2 games for substance abuse ??? and rice get 2 dages for KOing his fiance/wife and dragging her out of the elevator. The NFL continually makes a fool of itself. Goodall for making 47 million PLUS a year makes the NFL look completely without morals or ethics let alone a fairness policy.

Two games? What a wasted opportunity to get away with something so much worse.

Good thing he didn’t attack his fiancĂ© or he may have been suspended much longer….

    Wait…

Substance abuse isn’t always pot; it can also be cold meds, cocaine etc….

    Fun fact:
Lewis-Harris is the love child of Marvin Lewis and Franco Harris.

This gets more attention then Geno Atkins coming off the PUP list?

Lewis-Harris is a scrub who has only seen playing time when the team is in desperation mode due to injuries.

That’s a lot for a guy who won’t make the team.

Oh great, here comes another excuse as to why the bengals will suffer 2 or 3 beat-downs by the Steelers this year. At least he’s not your starting punter, that would be devestating to your chances at the division title.
