Seahawks place two on injured reserve list

Jesse Williams, Richard Sherman AP

The Seahawks got the good news they were looking for when running back Marshawn Lynch came back, but they also had to deal with some bad.

The team announced that tight end Anthony McCoy and defensive tackle Jesse Williams were placed on injured reserve. They also released wide receiver Randall Carroll and signed linebacker Marcus Dowtin and wide receiver Ronald Johnson.

McCoy tore his Achilles and Williams was carted off with what coach Pete Carroll called a “serious” knee injury.

Dowtin has spent time with the Jets, Eagles, Bills and Giants, while Johnson has spent time with the 49ers and Eagles.

And that’s why Williams dropped to the 5th round in the draft, 1st-2nd round talent but has a bum knee. Wish him the best, but its not looking good. Go Hawks!!!

Jesse Williams stays hurt. Crazy potential. I don’t like the Seahawks but I feel bad for the young men.

Terrible for both McCoy and the Monster! Two years in a row they are out on IR before the season even starts. Hope this isn’t the end of their NFL careers.

    Go Hawks!

Seattle has so much depth in the D that their reserves could start for the sad excuse for a franchise that is the Vikings. SKOOOOOOOLLLL!!!!!!

It’s so cute to see fans of the the development team talk like tough guys. They should really sell Seahawks jerseys in Minnie for the talent that has moved to the parent club like TJack and Percy.

Jesse Williams is a beast. We may never see it on Sunday though. He has the potential to be unbelievable. YOLO…

The loss of McCoy hurts. He has shown flashes of talent and could have been a real difference maker for us. Never bought into the “Monstar” Jesse Williams hype, kinda saw that one coming all along. He has a strange physique – really large in the upper body, lots of muscle mass, but skinny little twig legs. You expect to see that from the “bros” at the gym who skip leg day and focus on their pecs, but not at the NFL level.

    hmmm… happened twice last season…

Gotta feel for Jesse Williams – his only mistake was playing for Alabama, a program increasingly notorious for grinding their players to dust before they even make it to the NFL.

Cheat Carroll can feed them some PEDs and they will be back in no time.
