Thirteen Giants and five Bills players have been ruled out of Sunday night’s Hall of Fame game, the clubs announced.

The following Giants will not play: DE Robert Ayers, MLB Jon Beason, OT Will Beatty, WR Odell Beckham Jr., TE Xavier Grimble, OG Eric Herman, WR/KR Trindon Holliday, CB Bennett Jackson, CB Trumaine McBride, DT Mike Patterson, LB Spencer Paysinger, RB David Wilson.

Beckham, the Giants’ first-round pick, has dealt with a hamstring injury in camp.

Buffalo will sit TE Scott Chandler, CB Stephon Gilmore, WR Marquise Goodwin, CB Leodis McKelvin and TE Tony Moeaki.

Gilmore, a well-regarded cornerback, had hip surgery this offseason.

The Hall of Fame game airs on NBC at 8 p.m. ET.

Watkins is the only reason to watch this given that preseason games are boring.

  4. Most of you would be rapturous if your team won just one measly Super Bowl. We won it once, then again, and again, and again, yet again, oh, look, another one. You shrivel in our shadow. We define greatness. We built the NFL. We are the Steelers. says: Aug 3, 2014 8:22 PM

    Eli is garbage.

No more arrests, Corners claiming they are the best, outspoken backup QBs, drug suspensions, shady activities in Miami hotel rooms, star rookie QB hanging with Bieber and rolling 20 dollar bills in a public bathroom and Dallas Defensive players dropping like flies…just real football action!

Nassib is looking good. Poised in the pocket, reading the defense, checking his reads, scrambling around to avoid the sack and making pinpoint throws showing a strong arm. Nassib is looking real good.

    Let the Nassib era begin.

Nassib was a very good pickup for the Giants. You got to give the Giants credit for not looking at Eli with blinders like Dallas has with Romo.

Even though I had zero rooting interest in this game, it’s great to see NFL football back again – even if it is only exhibition season for now.
