Bengals clear Jones, Gresham, Whitworth to practice

MarvinJones

The Bengals are getting healthier with their preseason opener just days away.

The team announced today that five players have been medically cleared to return to practice: receiver Marvin Jones, tight end Jermaine Gresham, offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth, defensive tackle Zach Minter and receiver Ryan Whalen. Jones had been on the non-football injury list, while the other four were on the physically unable to perform list.

Jones tweaked his ankle while working out with Andy Dalton before training camp, and it took him some time to get back to full speed. But he’s good to go now.

Gresham has been dealing with a back injury, and he also missed most of the Bengals’ offseason work while recovering from hernia surgery. Whitworth has been hampered by a calf injury.
