This year, their luck seems to have turned.
A day after defensive tackle Ra’Shede Hageman went from a reported broken wrist to practicing fully, they’ve dodged another bullet.
According to Alex Marvez of FOX Sports, tackle Gabe Carimi is believed to have only suffered a sprained ankle yesterday. Carimi had to be helped off the field by trainers.
Carimi’s working as their swing tackle in practice, adding some veteran depth to a group that was bad last year.
But if they’ve figured out the way to change their injury luck, that would be more important than any single player.
