Giants sign Israel Idonije

The Giants have added some veteran depth to their defensive line.

Israel Idonije, a 33-year-old who has played most of his career in Chicago, signed with the Giants today.

Last year Idonije played in 15 games for the Lions but didn’t get a lot of playing time and had only seven total tackles. Idonije had previously played nine years for the Bears, and he re-signed with the Bears this offseason but lasted only two months before he was released in June.

Now Idonije will try to earn a roster spot in New York, which could be his last opportunity to remain employed in the NFL.

Uh oh, his name is Israel. Time for nearly everyone on the planet it seems to pile on this guy and blame him for all the world’s woes.

Honestly didn’t realize he played last year. Probably doesn’t bode well for future production.

If the G-Men want to go with over-the-hill players, they should try to get Tony Gonzalez to unretire.

It’s just adding more depth & veterans on the team , not a bad move at all . With all the injuries the Giants suffered last year I don’t blame them for it .

The Lions buried him last year…that means he still has it in the tank. Don’t be fooled, he can play.

The balance of power has shifted big time in the NFC East. Offensive coordinators will have nightmares going up against him. This move puts the jints in the elite category on defense. This move makes the jint defense the immovable object. LOL. Again, who do they scare, on defense n offense. A turnover machine on offense, n an overrated Swiss cheese defense with hope n breaks = 7-9 at best.
