With outside linebacker Jermaine Cunningham on injured reserve, the Jets have filled their roster spot with a guy used to being there.

The team announced that veteran offensive lineman Bruce Campbell was signed to fill Cunningham’s roster spot.

The one-time workout warrior at the Combine (the Raiders chose him in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft) hasn’t done much at the pro level. He played 14 games for the Raiders, but was traded for another guy who never plays (Mike Goodson).

He appeared in five games with the Panthers as a reserve in 2012 but missed last year with a shoulder problem and still hasn’t started an NFL game. The Redskins brought him to camp earlier this year, but that didn’t last long either.
