Dolphins activate Knowshon Moreno from PUP

Dolphins running back Knowshon Moreno recently expressed some doubt about when he’d be ready to work.

The Dolphins took care of that this morning, by taking him off the physically unable to perform list.

After an uneven series of offseason workouts, Moreno had arthroscopic knee surgery in August. That dropped him further behind incumbent running back Lamar Miller.

Getting some ballast out of Moreno would help an offense with plenty of question marks, particularly up front. His slow start to training camp won’t help that, but if he’s well now and back to his old self, he should be able to make a difference.

    I’d rather have Philadelphia #25.

Good news, if for no other reasons than depth at the position and incentive for Miller to run harder.

“Moreno had arthroscopic knee surgery in August”

    that’s a very quick rehab ….

You could put #25 or #28 behind that oline and its not going to matter. Pouncey out, two rookies one being from north dakota state, guard that is suspect, and then albert is solid at LT. Only way the offense improved last is with a better oc cause i dont see how it could get any worse there from last year.

Typical veteran stuff, calculate your medical needs to miss the grind of camp and get activating the week of the first pre-season game. Funny how he was flabby and now has leaned out……………
Hopefully he can be a positive factor without the Manning effect.

A semi-positive Knowshon Moreno article on PFT?! A happy surprise. I never thought I’d see it.

Remember Moreno’s original PFT article on his arthroscopic knee surgery and how it was very typical of the Dolphins to sign or draft an injured player?

No matter the questions about the revamped OL
they are clearly better then the personnel they fielded last year. Granted that’s not saying much.

LT – Branden Albert > Bryant McKinnie
LG – Daryn Colledge > Nate Garner
C – Pouncey ahead of Schedule may play week 1/2
RG – Billy Turner (wins job) > John Jerry
    RT – Ja’Wuan James > Tyson Clabo

Bullygate was last year, nothing to do with this team! They have a chip on their collective shoulder due to bad press and low national rankings. The new offense forces faster reads by the QB which equals less sacks. Deepest WR core in the league hands down. Bill Lazor is a QB whisperer, Tannehill will take a huge step forward. This team is pissed and I wouldn’t want to play them week one. Will they move all the way up to 30th in PTF rankings if they beat the Patriots in week one? what a joke!

Nflgreedleague are you saying the right side of the line is better this year when they havent played one game and im pretty sure you havent seen them play a game in the nfl?

did you see Clabo and Jerry play last year? I did and yes I’m saying that based on the fact that it would be hard to be worse and camp reports.

    — Mike Pouncey is killing the ladders in his rehab assignment today. He’s getting closer. I give him a month. per Omar Kelly of the Sun Sentinel (today)

As far as I can tell Knowshon Moreno under went surgery on June 23rd 2014.

As far as the O line goes, ask yourself this question, would you prefer to have last year OC and O line, or this year new O line and new OC? I say its a no brainer. Bill

I’m still more excited to see what Miller can do with the new scheme. At least the national drama surrounding Moreno can go away.

Having to play behind that line, he is probably disappointed to be activated off the PUP.

Third year in a row that the Dolphins, the media, and many ignorant fans are acting like this is Lamar Miller’s first rookie camp and praising his potential. Zzzzzzzz Acting like he never had a chance the past two years. Miller had two full years to shine, and he has done absolutely nothing. Despite what Philbin is doing in training camp with the reps, Knowshon is here is be our star back, and he will be. Miller can be a third or fourth stringer if he wants, because he simply isn’t a star.
