Raiders sign LB Spencer Hadley

The Raiders made a change at linebacker Wednesday, signing rookie Spencer Hadley and waiving first-year pro Marshall McFadden with an “injured” designation, the club announced this afternoon.

Hadley (6-1, 227) had a stint with New Orleans earlier this offseason. An undrafted free agent from BYU, Hadley notched 36 tackles (2.5 for loss) in six games in 2013 before suffering a season-ending knee injury. He also reportedly served a three-game suspension last season for a violation of BYU’s honor code. According to Sports Illustrated, the ban was for consuming alcohol in Las Vegas, even though he was of legal drinking age.

McFadden had missed time this summer with a hip flexor injury.

The Raiders are at the 90-player limit.

Equivalent of a “camp arm” for a QB. Watched him play at the Y, nothing exceptional about his game.

i would never attend BYU under any circumstance, ever.

Pretty sure this is like Marshall McFaddens 4th or 5th year in the nfl.. But okay. Hopefully this new guy can be something special. Were stacked at linebacker anyways so definitely couldn’t hurt. Love our defense this year! Go Raiders! #RaiderNation

The Raiders released the wrong McFadden.

Raiders fans should be thinking Super Bowl.

Drinking in Las Vegas? The nerve of this guy, wanting to be a linebacker…

Humbolt should be thinking trophy case

Raiders fans should be thinking Super Bowl…
Charger fan has no idea what its like to think about that.

Goodell would suspend him for half the season for consuming alcohol.

Chargers should be thinking are we ever going to win just one Super Bowl

  11. howielong says: Aug 6, 2014 8:16 PM

We have every right to be thinking Super Bowl. Our team has been there five times and dominated three of those. In stark contrast, the Chargers ONE appearance they were dominated. Their empty trophy case’s main duty is to collect the dust and tears of it’s heartbroken fans. One appearance. Sad.

The Raiders are making intelligent moves and is fielding a team of much better talent and skill than previous years.

Chargers fans taking smack about a Super Bowl?
    Really…?
I think the closest they’ve ever been to a Super Bowl was when the Raiders played in one in their stadium in January 2003.
    Correct me if I’m wrong.

Looks like things are finally headed in the right direction, I love the moves we are making, we might not be there yet, but we are definitely en route

chargers will never make it to the Super Bowl.

Chargers fans should be thinking. But that’s impossible for them.

Didn’t the Raiders move to Tijuana?

    If not, they should.

  19. dasmol says: Aug 7, 2014 12:02 PM

Empty trophy case? Raider fans are as clueless as they are fair weather. I guess they’ve never heard of the Lamar Hunt trophy despite their chosen team owning a few.

  20. howielong says: Aug 7, 2014 12:47 PM

The context here is Super Bowl. I know… highly conceptual and far too difficult for Charger fan to work out.

  21. peytonmanningsforehead says: Aug 7, 2014 2:52 PM

Of course the Raiders are thinking Superbowl. That’s the only reason to play the games. Only lowly, unprofessional, undisciplined, unmotivated pukes like the chokers think anything less is acceptable. Of course, having never tasted victory humbolt and his ilk have no idea what they’re missing.

The difference is: we dont count the second shelf trophies, only the top shelf ones, but since you habe no trophies on the top shelf, you try to put the second place trophy on the top shelf, we have lombardies and know the difference, smh@charger fans
