The Raiders made a change at linebacker Wednesday, signing rookie Spencer Hadley and waiving first-year pro Marshall McFadden with an “injured” designation, the club announced this afternoon.

Hadley (6-1, 227) had a stint with New Orleans earlier this offseason. An undrafted free agent from BYU, Hadley notched 36 tackles (2.5 for loss) in six games in 2013 before suffering a season-ending knee injury. He also reportedly served a three-game suspension last season for a violation of BYU’s honor code. According to Sports Illustrated, the ban was for consuming alcohol in Las Vegas, even though he was of legal drinking age.

McFadden had missed time this summer with a hip flexor injury.

The Raiders are at the 90-player limit.
