Cardinals offensive lineman Jonathan Cooper, a top-10 pick in 2013, had his rookie season derailed by a broken leg. His second training camp has gotten off to a bit of a rocky start.

Coach Bruce Arians has expressed disappointment about Cooper’s performance in 2014, and Arians said Thursday (via multiple reports) that Cooper will play in the preseason opener against the Texans on Saturday night after having a knee drained.

Cooper ultimately appeared in three 2013 preseason games before being lost for the season. He is listed as the starting left guard on the team’s officially unofficial depth chart.
