Canucks owner considered buying Bills

Aquilini

Terry Pegula isn’t the only NHL owner that considered buying the NFL’s Buffalo Bills. According to Tim Graham of the Buffalo News, Vancouver Canucks chairman Francesco Aquilini explored the process.

Sufficiently intrigued by the opportunity to agree to the non-disclosure agreement inked by all potential bidders, Aquilini ultimately opted to pass on the possible purchase.

“I’m always exploring potential business opportunities, and I’m passionate about sports. So this is something that interested me,” Aquilini said in a statement issued to the Buffalo News. “However, we are not planning to pursue the opportunity further.”

No specific reason has been given for the decision to not make a bid on the Bills.
