Packers won’t have big three on offense against Titans

Rodgers

Preseason football isn’t real football, especially when the real players aren’t available to play.

Joining a trend that sees plenty of star players skipping exhibition contests that they’d surely play if the outcome counted in the standings, the Packers have scratched their three biggest names on offense -- quarterback Aaron Rodgers, running back Eddie Lacy, and receiver Jordy Nelson. All are healthy.

They’ll be replaced in the starting lineup by Matt Flynn, James Starks, and Jarrett Boykin, respectively.

On defense, safety Morgan Burnett didn’t make the trip to Nashville, which means that we’ll see plenty of converted cornerback Micah Hyde and first-rounder Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.
