ProFootballTalk: Danny Trevathan fractures left tibia, out 6-8 weeks

Danny Trevathan suffered a fracture in his left leg that should keep him out 6-8 week, but Trevathan says he expects to return closer to 4-6 weeks. NBCSN medical expert and former NFL  trainer, Mike Ryan says surgery is a possibility if Trevathan doesn’t take the rest necessary to rehabilitate the injury.

Unlike the fibula, the tibia is the big weight-bearing shin bone. Four weeks seems a bit optimistic – but you have to respect where his hearts at.

By the way, I’m hearing elsewhere that it was a fractured patella (i.e., knee cap).

Broken Leg….long shot for him to be in game shape before Oct 12 against the Jets. Everything they say will be propaganda to suggest a quicker turn time. But I doubt it…
