Cowboys sign TE Asa Watson

The Cowboys have signed rookie tight end Asa Watson, the club said Thursday.

Watson’s agreement with Dallas was reported by PFT’s Mike Florio last night.

The 24-year-old Watson was waived by New England last week, three days after the club’s preseason opener. A North Carolina State product, Watson caught 27 passes in four collegiate seasons (2009-2010, 2012-2013). He redshirted in 2011 after heart surgery.

In a corresponding roster move, Dallas waived first-year tight end Dallas Walker.

The Cowboys have five tight ends on their roster. Dallas plays its second exhibition on Saturday against Baltimore.

Yes he’s going to start over Witten, Hanna, and Escobar.

Why bothering posting if it’s clueless troll drivel hawk?

Dallas will keep three TEs for sure in Witten, Escobar, and Hanna. They usually don’t keep a 4th one so will Asa even make the roster?

Sorry, I though he was a defensive end. I need to move to Dallas for this season. Only place I will be able to get the spread +6 against the boys.
