Odell Beckham is still a week away for Giants

Giants Camp Football AP

The Giants haven’t seen much out of Odell Beckham, but they’re hoping they’ll finally get a peek soon.

According to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News, the first-round wide receiver won’t play this Saturday, but could make his debut next week against the Jets.

“Not enough work (yet),” Giants coach Tom Coughlin said.

Beckham has been slowed by hamstring problems, which had Coughlin a little irritated early in training camp.

But he came back this week, and immediately started boasting about how good their offense can be.

Next week, he’ll get a chance to start contributing to it.

However, he still thinks they will light the league on fire. Ice those hammies Odell, its a long ride and journey to establish yourself in the NFL.

He’s going to be a great receiver, I get the feeling he’s going to torch the Jets.

Philadelphia Eagles 2010 Andy Reid west coast offense. OBSOLETE! copying the Eagles no huddle offense… Not going to work with those players they have…. LOL, jon Beason, LOL, Odell beck”strained”hammy, LOL, Wilson done!, Eli interception machine, can someone tell why the Philadelphia Owned NJ sewer pot giants is going to be any good this season, or is it pretty much a consensus that they will be putrid this season….

Giants wasted a First round pick on this dude. Should have taken the better WR in Jarvis Landry from LSU. Landry’s stocked only dropped because of a bad 40 time at the combine….dude was injured and still ran. Beckham Jr. wouldn’t have even shown up hurt…..

It’s ok, Miami has Landry now.

Why did my Giants draft Beckham? He said before the World Cup his dream was to play in it. A 1st round draft pick should be committed to football.

The Ryan Nassib era is not starting well.

Jon Beason plays defense. Don’t think he is going to be much of a factor for the Giants “no huddle” offense anyway.

What’s Philly won lately? Division crowns? Congrats! Did you buy the “2014 NFC East Division Champ” T-shirt as soon as it was available?

He ain’t going to be much of a factor for their laughingstock defense either.
The NJ giant’s free agents are not going to help this mess of a team. They are all 2nd tier washed up $5 bin trash. hate to break it to ya but DRC actually sucks. You will find that out very fast. There is no light at the end of the Lincoln tunnel this year. In reality, They are going to need a new QB, new RB, new O-line, New D-line, new, LBers, new DBs. none of there recent draft picks have worked out well for this NJ team and it doesn’t look like it is going to work out this year either.

    You mad, bro haha.
    Philly= garbage
Get some bling, before you blab.
Giants trophy case is the closest Philly will ever get to a Lombardi.

    @mad55555,

You obviously have only been watching the Eagles this preseason. How did Foles do in his first outing this year. Now tell me is was only preseason and I’ll apply the same to the Giants. We’ll see what happens when the games that count are played. The G-Men are obviously rebuilding with a new o-line, new O coordinator and a revamped D. The Eagles now have zero threat at WR. I laughed when I saw the headline that Maclin was torching Revis; everyone knows Revis doesn’t play hard if at all in the preseason. You have a great RB, a RB on the downside of his career, a solid O-line and that’s it. Now that every team has had a year to look at the savior Kelly’s offense and Foles’ habits there will be no surprises.

Come back and talk when you actually win something besides a regular season game. I hope the Eagles O can put up 28+ points a game because that defense will need all the help they can get.

OB3 is 4th on our depth chart. He’d be WR1 on Phi. Not concerned with that one year wonder team. I can’t name one player on their defense.

It’s early, but I woulda went with Zack Martin. It would have been Beatty, Schwartz, Richburg, Martin, Pugh for some time on the OL.

  16. homerx says: Aug 14, 2014 7:50 PM

Agreed, I wanted Martin also. I guess we’ll find out in a few years.

Pretty messed up u laugh wit a ! on a man like wilson that could have been paralyzed by playing this game.. ur just mad cause if wilson had 10yrs in the NFL to play he woulda made shady look like a 3rd stringer

  18. jpherling says: Aug 14, 2014 9:05 PM

If what Odell means is that they’ll have a dynamite offense without him being on the field, he just might be right.

  19. n0hopeleft says: Aug 14, 2014 11:20 PM

Eli Manning is 2x better than any QB Philadelphia has ever had.

A “professional organization” that has attempted to achieve their only goal in 50+ years and has failed….. every…single….year..

The Eagles make the playoffs last year, the worst year the NFC east has ever had collectively, and now Nick Foles is a savior?!?!

  20. dawkphan says: Aug 15, 2014 8:40 AM

I don’t think what happened to Wilson is a laughing matter, that being said, making Shady look like a third stringer , is all in your mind because we will never see . Well I guess we’ll see you in the regular season , may the best team win .

    Nice hair-do Odell…

    Very Bieberesque !!!

  22. jints10 says: Aug 16, 2014 12:30 PM

Beckham better get on the field soon or he will be an afterthought to Cory Washington who is lighting it up
