Maybe since the Texans aren’t going to chase after Brian Hoyer, they’re going to look at their own stable of backup quarterbacks for a starter.

According to Tania Ganguli of ESPN.com, Case Keenum took reps with the starters in practice today for the first time. Ryan Fitzpatrick resumed his role with the starters later in practice.

Two thoughts: 1) It might not mean anything, and 2) Why not?

The Texans had to have realized this was going to be a bit of a mess this year, so Tom Savage will eventually get a shot, I’m sure.

Between the lot of them, or some future quarterback to be determined, they have to get through the next 16 regular season games. At that point, they have to find a real answer at the position, at least so they can look Andre Johnson in the eye and tell him they’re not rebuilding.

Again.
