Jets’ Jalen Saunders had “medical incident” while driving

jalensaunders AP

Jets rookie receiver Jalen Saunders had what police are describing as a “medical incident” while driving to the team facility on Friday morning, resulting in his hospitalization.

The Jets initially announced that Saunders was in a single-car accident, but police told NJ.com that Saunders didn’t actually crash his car during the incident inside his vehicle. No other details have been released.

The good news is that Saunders is believed to be OK and is only being monitored at the hospital as a precaution.

Saunders was drafted out of Oklahoma in the fourth round this year, and the Jets were hoping he would be able to contribute as a rookie both on offense and as a punt and kickoff returner. It is unclear when Saunders will be able to get back on the field with the Jets.

If this was a Raven you would have written something about how he was still drunk/drugged up from breaking the law the night before

Let’s just hope the kid is ok and doctors can figure out why it happened. Football is an afterthought.

Probably a side effect of that synthetic weed the kiddies are smoking nowadays. Why you’d shun the super-uber safe real stuff in favor of lab made synthetic I will never know…
