With his one-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy, Dwayne Bowe has given the Chiefs reason and ability to ponder life without him.

But Sunday night, he’s showing why they might want to forgive and forget.

Bowe has caught four passes for 56 yards in the first quarter, showing no signs that his finger is giving him a problem catching balls.

With the Chiefs playing without Jamaal Charles, it’s easy to focus on Bowe in the game plan. but the Panthers haven’t been able to slow him down, and Bowe just trucked Panthers cornerback Melvin White.

The Chiefs are up 6-0 at the start of the second quarter, with Alex Smith playing a generally efficient game. But it’s clear he needs Bowe.
